Michael DeAngelis' Retirement Party
After a long and celebrated career in the Public Sector, former City Manager Michael DeAngelis celebrated his retirement on January 21st. The pageantry at Terrace Banquet Hall, which included an enticing spread of finger foods, pastas, and other goodies, also featured some of the most prominent figures in Vaughan’s history in attendance. The reason, of course, was to give a man like Mr. DeAngelis the send-off that his legacy deserves. While his retirement was actually effective September 1st, 2009, DeAngelis, a man with over 30 years of public service under his belt, stayed on in a mentoring capacity to help his successor, Clayton Harris, become acquainted with the responsibilities of City Manager. Congratulations go out to Mr. DeAngelis with wishes of good luck, fortune, and relaxation as you embark on the next journey in your life.
