Robbie Naccarato Golf Tournament
Six years ago, Robert Naccarato was taken from his family at the tender age of 19. As an active and caring young man, Robbie (as he was affectionately known) managed to touch and change the lives of many of the people he encountered. In honouring his memory, his family has set up the Robert Naccarato Memorial Foundation. This year, the group hosted the 3rd Annual Robert Naccarato Memorial Foundation Charity Golf Tournament, in support of Sick Kids, at Copper Creek. Among the golfers and dinner attendees were family members, friends, local supporters from the business community, and even NHL’ers Luca Caputi and Michael Cammalleri.
The money raised at the event is earmarked to specifically aid in the fight against Child Leukemia – the Robbie Foundation is in the process of securing a dedicated room in the Leukemia ward at Sick Kids. By making “Robbie’s Dream” of helping less fortunate children a reality, the Naccarato family, as well as the many supporters in attendance at Copper Creek, have turned personal tragedy into a blessing for Sick Kids.
