Zumbathon at Chancellor Community Centre
The Olive Branch for Children is an organization that assists Tanzanian communities that have been ravaged by HIV/AIDS. A group of local Zumba fitness instructors recently invited people from all across the GTA to take part in a fun afternoon to benefit the work done by this great organization. A 2 Hour Zumbathon gave many people the chance to learn about, or further enhance their abilities in a style of fitness that has picked up plenty of followers in recent history.
Zumba is an aerobic dance fitness class that incorporates Salsa, Bollywood, Belly Dancing, Flamenco, Merengue, Reggaeton and more. So, while all involved broke out a really big sweat, they also gave their best for an amazing cause. The energy exuded throughout, which was enhanced by the instructors and DJ FIZZ playing some lively tracks, was just another example of the lengths people in this community go to help those in need.
