When walking into the Bellevue Manor on April 13th, you would have though Vaughan, Ont was Hollywood North. Reel Film Pictures rolled out the red carpet as film makers, local artists and actors from across the country banded together to show their support of the arts and culture right here in Vaughan.
The gala event was a huge celebration with many in attendance. Canadian actors, Ellen Dubin (Napoleon Dynamite, The Collector), Jordan Johnson Hinds (LA Complex, Flashpoint), as well as host of "Stuntdawgs," "The Terminator" himself, Peter Kent (acclaimed Canadian Stuntman best known as Arnold Schwarznegger's official stunt double), were present throughout the evening to meet, greet and take pictures with the guests.
The evening was full of much activity- from a delicious 4 course meal to live entertainment from the Toronto Brass Band and MC Rockin’ Ray Michaels, and guests having the opportunity to bid in a silent auction for coveted, autographed film scripts and art memorabilia, there truly was something for everyone.
The two driving forces behind Reel Film Pictures, Antonio Ienco and Mark Pagliaroli, have created an event that allows for their fellow artists to receive recognition while gaining a platform to showcase their talent to brand new audiences.
